WhatsApp wins in terms of the number of users on Telegram. The use of WhatsApp is also felt to be more common than its competitors.
But the question is, which is safer, Telegram or WhatsApp? All have advantages and disadvantages. Still, here are five Telegram security features that are considered Telegram’s strengths as an application for the exchange of secret messages, as compiled by us from various sources.
1. Chat lock
Lazy messages spied on by others? Touch Settings> Privacy and Security> Passcode and Touch ID> Set PIN or Touch ID. That way, your messages will be locked automatically after the app is not used for a few minutes. In addition, you can click the lock chat icon at the top of your Telegram app to activate this feature at any time.
2. Chat secretly
The secret chat feature in the Telegram app is actually encrypted end -to -end which is already common in WhatsApp or Signal. Therefore, Secret Chat is a feature that does not allow third parties to see your messages with others while using this feature, including Telegram. To activate it, you simply click on the contact of the person you want to send a message to, click on their name, then click on Start Secret Chat on the more icons.
3. Two -Step Verification
Again, it’s not just Telegram that uses this security feature. When enabled, this feature requires users to enter a password each time they log into their personal Telegram account via a new or old device. This password is required as a complement to the OTP (one -time password only) that appears when a user installs a Telegram account on a new device.
4. There is a proxy server
Telegram also supports proxy servers. This function allows users to hide their IP address by connecting their account to a special proxy server. Basically, this feature works just like a VPN connection.
5. Delete messages forever
In Telegram you can delete messages that have been sent at any time and without time limit. So if you want to delete a message sent a month ago, you can still do so.
