Sad news came from Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella. His son, Zain Nadella, has died at the age of 25. Microsoft has confirmed this news.
"Nadella's son, Zain Nadella, has passed away. Nadella's family is currently gathering privately," a Microsoft spokesperson told People.
Zain was born with cerebral palsy and must be in a special wheelchair. He also received maximum care in the hospital since childhood.
"Zain will be remembered for his passionate taste in music, his brilliant smile and the joy he gave his beloved family," said Jeff Sperring, CEO of Seattle Children's Hospital where Zain was cared for for the rest of his life.
Satya Nadella's family has pledged to donate $15 million to the hospital for brain disease research. As for Zain, after he was born, he was immediately treated at the hospital.
"He still needs special care around the clock. He communicates non-verbally and uses a wheelchair," the hospital explained.
Satya Nadella and his wife, Anu, have 3 children. Nadella and his wife mentioned several times about Zain and how they learned a lot from their son. Seeing the child struggling in his condition has had a great influence on a Satya Nadella.
"After Zain was born, various changes occurred in me. This had a huge impact on how I think, lead and relate to people," said Satya Nadella some time ago.
"Even in the toughest of circumstances, Zain shows tenacity and strength, which inspires me," said his wife, Anu.
