After the success of Santorini's 8v8 Team Deathmatch (TDM) mode which was released last February, PUBG Mobile now presents its newest Arena mode, Royale Arena: Assault, which can be played from 7 April 2022.
Unlike the Battle Royale mode, in this mode players can respawn without any limitations so they can immediately return to the battlefield. Players can also fight to their heart's content without the need to be chased by a game zone that gets narrower as time goes by.
Royale Arena: Assault mode carries the same objective as the TDM mode, which is to eliminate as many opponents as possible within the specified time. Eight players divided into a blue team and a red team will battle for a maximum of 10 minutes, with the team that reaches 40 elimination points first being the winner.
Although at first glance similar to TDM mode, Royale Arena: Assault has a major difference in the game map, where in this new mode players will play in random locations on the Erangel or Livik map. The location of the game is surrounded by a blue zone so that players are challenged to play in a predetermined area.
To aid in winning battles, players can select weapons from the loadout menu. Players can also get weapons and other combat equipment from a number of Airdrops available in the game location.
In addition to offering a short playing time so that it can be played on the sidelines of busyness or as a warm-up before playing Battle Royale mode, Royale Arena: Assault is also useful for practicing close combat skills. In addition, players can also hone their fighting skills in strategic locations on the Erangel or Livik maps.
To play Royale Arena: Assault mode, players must first download the 25 MB Erangel map or the 7 MB Livik map. Furthermore, players can enter the game by entering the 'Unranked' lobby, selecting the 'Arena' lobby then 'Royale Arena: Assault'.
