Last month, the company behind TikTok, Bytedance, launched its new Pico 4 virtual reality headset. As previously announced, the Pico 4 will be offered in Malaysia and today, they have announced the price.
Pico 4 is sold at a price of RM1,699 for 8/128 GB and RM1,999 for 8/256 GB. It can be purchased starting today, October 12, at Lazada or Shopee. Pico will also offer purchase bundles with various virtual reality games.
In conjunction with the launch of Pico 4 today, 14-16 October a discount of RM100 will be given bringing the selling price to RM1,599 for 8/128 GB and RM1,899 for 8/256 GB with four free virtual reality games and a storage frame. Meanwhile, from October 12 until January 31 – those who buy on this date will receive four free games.
The Pico 4 is a fairly compact but powerful virtual reality headset. It uses lenses with a resolution of 2,160 x 2,160 on each or 4K+ overall. It supports refresh rates up to 90Hz. The lens is also a type of Pancake Lens 105 degree angle of view and supports 62-72 mm pupillary-internal distance. The uniqueness of this Pico 4 is that it supports see-through mode with color compared to competitors such as the Oculus Quest that only display black and white and strange graphics.
For tracking it uses 6 DoF sensors, has a built-in speaker, two microphones, is powered by a Snapdragon XR2 chip, 8GB RAM memory with internal storage up to 256GB. The battery is 5300mAh with 20W charging and runs Pico OS 5.0 operating system.
