Viral on Reddit teens are said to destroy his brother's reception for not wanting to 'relent' in giving tickets to a Taylor Swift concert to his cousin's wife. In fact, his cousin, John, knows very well that the teenager has been a fan of the 'Bad Blood' singer since he was two years old.
When he arrived at the reception, the 17-year-old teenager spent time mingling with his family. Until one day, relatives who knew that he was a big fan of Taylor Swift asked if he got concert tickets. Feeling enthusiastic about Taylor Swift's tour, the teenager said yes with enthusiasm.
"John overheard and grabbed me and asked if I wanted to give the ticket to his wife, because his wife also tried to get tickets but failed," he said.
"I said I'd been waiting a long time for tickets and I didn't want to give them up because, as he knows, I love Taylor Swift and I'm excited to go to his concerts with my friends," he continued.
After that, John looks disappointed but walks away. The event went well, the couple's first dance was Taylor Swift's song 'Lover'. At the end of the dance, John suddenly took the microphone and said that it was very kind of the teenager to give his concert tickets to his wife.
The shocked teenager could only stay silent, but his family began to gather around the teenager and praise 'how mature he is for giving away his concert tickets'. Not accepting, the teenager said that he would not give the ticket.
Those words were then heard by John and Jane by word of mouth from the audience. Jane immediately sobbed and said that the teenager was very selfish. Moreover, he did not give Jane a wedding present.
"I froze and said, I don't owe him anything. John then said that I had never been to a Taylor concert before and Jane had never been so it would be fair if I gave him my ticket," he said.
The teenager tries to explain to Jane that he doesn't want to give her concert tickets. Because, he was already patient in line for five hours to get the ticket.
"John screamed at me to go and said that I ruined his wedding. Several families sent messages and said I was a selfish bitch who ruined Jane's wedding and I should have waited until the event was over to tell me I would not give up my ticket," he said.
Although in the end the teenager's family finally apologized for not hearing from both sides, the story of this teenager invited many reactions from netizens. Some admitted that they were upset with the teenager's unpleasant experience.
"That's your ticket, not your bond, they're also really bad at making it look like you're going to give a ticket and think you won't speak up," said one netizen.
"He's very manipulative and has gone too far," said another.
"You should tell people that he is very kind enough to give you his car (or call it whatever he cares about) and see how he will feel," netizens suggested.
What do you think, you? Would you give away concert tickets if you were in the teen's shoes? Write your opinion in the comments column, OK?
