WhatsApp is now developing a question feature that can be added directly to statuses. It is similar to the question sticker feature on Instagram Stories which also allows users to collect feedback from their followers directly. By introducing the same feature, WhatsApp is seen adding another friendly and interesting way to interact on its application.
The method of use is also easy with users being able to type an open-ended question in their status. Each status is only allowed to upload one question. This means that they need to make several separate status updates if they want to ask more than one question.
When a status is shared, selected friends or contacts can respond directly in the status interface. Then, all responses will be collected in a special space that can only be accessed by the creator. They can see the content of each response and the sender's name.
Answers that are re-shared to a new status will not reveal the identity of the sender. Only the text of the response will be displayed to give users confidence in sharing their views safely. This feature is still in development and will be available in future updates.
