U Mobile Introduces Enterprise Innovation Platform as Digital Technology Development Hub

The term “sandbox” is commonly used in the IT industry to refer to a space used by developers and programmers to develop and test new functions or features before they are publicly introduced.

And that is exactly what U Mobile is introducing today, a sandbox development hub known as the Enterprise Innovation Platform that allows local and international companies to develop and test new technologies using 5G-A infrastructure and ULTRA 5G connectivity developed by U Mobile.

The initiative aims to provide an agnostic environment for enterprise companies, small and medium-sized businesses, start-ups, academia and public sector agencies to develop and commercialize their 5G-A use cases, proofs of concept and pilot projects.

U Mobile also understands that developing new technologies also requires expertise from the IT industry and existing technologies, so they have collaborated with eight technology partners, including Amazon Web Services, Huawei Malaysia, Palo Alto Networks, Qualcomm, Braintree Technologies, China Mobile International, Meraque Group and ZTE Malaysia.

To this end, U Mobile will also develop an EIP hub located at Subang High Tech Park in July 2026 and will implement the Develop, Test and Demonstrate concept.

The EIP hub will feature an integrated sandbox with 5G-A access and cloud networks, IoT device labs, private network zones and live demo zones, including tools such as network slicing simulators, digital twin environments and AR/VR toolkits to ensure that innovative solutions or test cases are validated and can be used in real-world environments.

If your company is interested in using the EIP hub’s infrastructure and offerings, you can register your interest on the U Mobile Enterprise Innovation Hub website.
