The Huawei Pura X View was just launched earlier this September. It is a device with a rather unique design, setting it apart from the typical devices found on the market. While in China, I took the opportunity to visit a Huawei flagship store to get hands-on with the device. Specifications

Design and Screen
The overall design of the Pura Max View actually resembles last year's Pura X; however, the device's form factor differs significantly from most current devices. It features a design that is wider rather than elongated, giving it the appearance of a foldable device—even though it cannot be folded.
It sports a 6.39-inch screen with a 120Hz OLED panel and boasts a peak brightness of up to 6,300 nits. Holding the device for the first time felt a bit unusual, though not unpleasantly so; it likely just took some getting used to given the unique design. Despite its wide profile, the device still fits into a trouser pocket.
In terms of durability, the Huawei Pura X View boasts an IP68/IP69 rating. The front display utilizes Huawei’s proprietary Kunlun glass, while the rear panel is also made of glass, framed by an aluminum body. These materials combine to deliver a premium feel.
Camera
The Huawei Pura X View features a triple-camera setup comprising a 200MP f/1.8 main lens with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Based on these specifications, the device does not appear to prioritize camera performance above all else, though the setup is certainly adequate for casual use.
Hardware and Software
Internally, the Huawei Pura X View is powered by the 5nm Kirin 9030S chip. As this is the same chip found in the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max, I expect performance to be comparable to that device. It comes with 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
Regarding software, it runs on HarmonyOS 7.0. There isn't much to elaborate on here, other than the fact that, at first glance, it resembles the software found on many other Chinese-branded smartphones.
Battery
The Huawei Pura X View houses a 7,000mAh battery. This capacity is no longer surprising, particularly for a device from a Chinese manufacturer. It also supports 66W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W wired reverse charging.
Conclusion
Although I only had a brief hands-on experience, I was quite intrigued by the design and wide screen aspect ratio of the Huawei Pura X View, especially given that most modern devices—aside from foldables—tend to have elongated displays. However, I am unsure how practical this device would be for daily use. At the moment, it is unclear whether the device will be released in the Malaysian market.
