WhatsApp users will be able to send high quality video Videos

WhatsApp seems to be preparing a feature that users have been waiting for a long time. This messaging application will allow users to choose the quality of the video to be sent.
This new functionality was discovered by WABetaInfo in beta version 2.21.14.6 for Android. From the screenshots uploaded by WABetaInfo, users can set the quality of their own videos to be sent through the 'Storage and Data' menu in the settings.

WhatsApp offers three options, namely Auto, Best quality and Data saver that can be selected according to the user's needs. Auto is the recommended automatic option and WhatsApp will detect the best compression algorithm for a particular video.

The data saver option is suitable for users who want to save internet quota and will compress videos to the most optimal level. While the Best quality option allows users to send videos with the highest quality, as quoted from Android Police, Friday (2/7/2021).

WhatsApp users can actually send videos and photos in high resolution, but they must be sent in document form. With this feature, the process of sending high-quality videos will definitely be easier.

This function is still under development, so it is not known when the stable version will be rolled out to users. So it looks like we still have to wait quite a while until this feature rolls out in the next update.

Unfortunately, this feature can only adjust video quality, not photos. So far, WhatsApp has always compressed the quality of photos sent, and many users have been complaining about this for a long time.

This is not the only new feature for sending photos and videos that is being developed by WhatsApp. Not long ago, the Facebook-owned app launched a 'View once' feature that can automatically delete photos, videos and GIFs after being viewed once by the recipient.
