LG Electronics finally put the QNED Mini LED TV on the market. This device brings a technological leap in the LCD TV category.
The main innovation on the LG QNED Mini LED TV is on the image reproduction side. This was achieved thanks to the collaboration of two of LG's most advanced technologies currently in the development of LCD TVs, namely Quantum Dot NanoCell and Mini LED.
While NanoCell technology has previously been known for its superior color reproduction, Mini LED is a development on the backlight side which is better than the previous technology. Mini LED screen lighting strength lies in the application of a line of LED lights that are smaller than those commonly found in previous LED LCD TVs.
With a much smaller dimension, it allows the backlight to produce a density and uniformity of lighting that can fill the screen area more. On the other hand, the increasing number of LED lights that make up this backlight gives the advantage of richer coloring with more accurate details.
The more LEDs arranged behind it, the more precise it is in lighting control. This is what users then enjoy as the coloring is richer with more detail than the previous LED LCD TV.
With the smaller dimensions of the constituent LED lamps, it is able to produce a contrast ratio ten times better than other LCD/LED TVs. On the other hand, this unique characteristic also gives it the ability to produce deeper blacks with more detail in dark areas which makes the image appear more dramatic.
To prove its performance, LG conducted a certification test conducted by Intertek as an international testing agency. The results in these tests, the LG QNED Mini LED TV is able to present 100 percent of the color spectrum volume (Color Gamut Volume / CGV) in the DCI-P3 color space. The same test results also demonstrate its ability to eliminate color distortion at wide viewing angles to ensure that everyone in the room can enjoy the best LCD image quality.
Complementing the major innovations on the screen, LG has provided the mini LED TV with the presence of two Dolby Laboratories innovations, namely Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos. The presence of the two is a strong combination in producing cinematic impressions.
For fans of sports broadcasts, a Sport Alert feature is provided to ensure users don't miss the various actions of their favorite team. By activating and
making settings in this feature can make the TV give reminders before, throughout until the final result of the match. Things that can be done even though the user
currently viewing other content.
On the other hand, game fans can also get new fun with the Game Optimizer feature. Enabling this feature makes the TV work automatically applying
best picture settings according to the type of game the user is playing: first-person shooter, role-playing or real-time strategy.
Complementing a more comfortable user experience, delivered through an upgrade to the webOS operating system. Carrying the latest webOS user interface, it provides faster access to applications, simpler content discovery and provides recommendations with personalized results according to the user.
There is also the Magic Remote, which has been redesigned to have special hot keys for popular content providers that allow users to switch to their favorite services with the press of a button.
The QNED Mini LED TV is already available at various electronics stores that are part of LG's sales network and official stores on e-commerce platforms.
First on the market, the LG QNED Mini LED TV will come in two resolution options, namely 8K and 4K. Especially for 8K resolution, there are two choices of screen landscapes, namely 75 inches with
75QNED96TPA and 65-inch through 65QNED96TPA models. As for the Ultra HD 4K resolution, it is available in a 65-inch screen landscape via the 65QNED91TPA model.
