According to data from property website Zillow, Elon Musk has found a buyer who redeemed his last mansion in California, for $32 million. His other houses had previously been bought.
This last house Musk bought in 2017, is a super luxurious antique mansion with 7 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The location is also premium, in an elite area of California.
Homeless, Elon Musk claims to live in a portable rental house in Boca Chica, Texas, close to SpaceX's headquarters. Even though he was already the richest in the world, he admitted that he needed a lot of money to go to Mars, so he sold his entire house.
"I think it's important for humanity to become a space civilization and a multi-planet species. And it will take a lot of money to build a city on Mars," said Elon Musk recently.
"I want to be able to contribute as much as possible to this city on Mars. That means a lot of capital is needed. I also try to make it clear that I am serious about this," he added.
"Right now I don't own anything else. In fact, I basically have almost nothing with monetary value, other than shares in companies.
