The Game Awards 2021 Will Present 50 Games, Including NFT?

Geoff Keighley, Founder and Executive Producer of The Game Awards 2021, expressed his hope for the event to feature 40 to 50 games. He added, at least the number will reach double digits.

"This year, there will be a lot of content for 2022 and 2023. Who are ready to show us their biggest lineup, premiere to the whole world," said Keighley in an interview with Epic Games.

He explained that some titles might lead to next-gen consoles, namely PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. He assures that the show, will be very mesmerizing and reminiscent of people, where the industry always brings out the best in it.

The game awards, which are held at the Microsoft Theater, will not present things about Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT). He and The Game Awards, currently have no interest in the theme of the game.

Despite having a lot of celebrities and some great musical performances, the good news is that The Game Awars 2021 is focused on gaming. Keighley said it was very important to stay true to the event's goals.

This game award, has been held every year since 2014. Led by the game industry figure, Geoff Keighley. Collaborate with big names in game development and media, such as Nintendo and IGN.

The number of fans is always growing, with a fairly large spike. Even the numbers obtained, beat the Hollywood film honors, namely the Oscars.

Recorded in 2016, they managed to attract 3.8 million pairs of eyes. Then 11.5 million (2017), 26.2 million (2018), 45.2 million (2019) and the highest number in 2020, which is 83 million viewers.

Looking at the success, it looks like 2021 will be a big year. This is because they re-unite the entire community, developers and game industry activists.

"We are excited to return to the Microsoft Theater for a special night celebrating the past, present, and future of video games," said Keighley.
