US Internet Users Trust Google More Than Apple

Apple has always claimed that its company puts privacy first with the security features provided in their products. However, it turns out that many internet users don't believe the Cupertino tech giant.

This is the result of a recent survey conducted by The Washington Post. In this survey, US internet users were asked to rate how much they trust leading technology and internet companies.

And as a result, in terms of consumer confidence, Google and Amazon rank higher than Apple.

A total of 48% of participants said they trusted Google a lot, while Amazon scored 53%. While Apple only gets 44%.

These numbers are also quite surprising because previously Google was reported to have collected data about users such as the places they visited, what they searched for, and so on.

It seems that the figures achieved by Apple are the effect of their plan to introduce a feature for child protection, which is believed to be in the form of scanning Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) photos. This feature has become controversial and has been criticized because it is considered to reduce user privacy.

Since then Apple has canceled to launch the feature. And maybe this is also the reason why Apple's rating is low, because consumers' trust in Apple about privacy and security is diminishing.
