The World Gadget Party is Haunted by Corona, this is the result

The world's largest annual gadget event, titled the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022, revealed that it would close the show earlier than scheduled. The reason is none other than the COVID-19 pandemic that is still roaming around.

"We shortened the show to three days and have implemented comprehensive health measures for the safety of all attendees," said Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

Previously, the technology show, which will be held in Las Vegas, will be held from January 5-8. But now undergoing changes and finishing faster, which only lasts until January 7, quoted us from The Verge, Saturday (1/1/2022).

This step was taken by the organizers, in an additional security effort and including health protocols during the pandemic. It was confirmed that more than 2,200 participants will directly contribute at CES 2022.

Even in the last two weeks, 143 new companies have registered directly. Shapiro, said that CES as the most influential technology event in the world, kept their promise, to be a gathering place to showcase products and discuss ideas that will make life better.

CES 2022 also offers attendees who can't attend the event in person, to display their products digitally. Where later there will be 40 sessions during live streaming and other things.

This has been exploited by a number of big names, who have decided to withdraw from their physical presence, from Google, Twitter, Lenovo, Intel, Meta, AMD and T-Mobile. They participated in enlivening the exhibition, by holding virtual events related to new products to be introduced.

"After closely monitoring the latest trends around COVID, taking into account the health and safety of our employees, customers, partners and communities, we have had to suspend all on-site activity in Las Vegas," Lenovo said on its Twitter account.
