Where Ghozali Everyday Sells NFT Called Losing USD 200 million

Bad news is hitting OpenSea, an NFT (non-fungible token) sales platform which has been on the rise lately because of Ghozali Everyday. There are even rumors that OpenSea lost USD 200 million due to hacker attacks who stole NFT.

Hackers reportedly managed to steal hundreds of Non-fungible Tokens (NFT) from OpenSea users. This is where there is a mention on social media that the loss reached USD 200 million, but this has been denied.

Responding to the news, the founder and CEO of OpenSea, Devin Finzer, has denied reports that his site has been compromised by hackers. According to him, the attack was phishing and was not directly related to the OpenSea website.

The actual value of the stolen tokens was around USD 1.7 million. There were 254 tokens stolen during the attack including tokens from Decentraland and Bored Ape Yacht Club.

Finzer acknowledged that some of the affected OpenSea users had been trapped by the hacker and had his NFT stolen. According to him, some of the NFTs have been returned.

"The attack at this point seems to be inactive. Some NFTs have also been returned," said Finzer as quoted by News Bitcoin, Wednesday (23/2/2022).

According to him, the OpenSea team is still investigating this case and what kind of phishing email was used to trap users. It was concluded that it was true that the attacker hacker had USD 1.7 million in the form of Ehter from the proceeds of selling some of the stolen NFT.

"We do not believe that this is connected to the OpenSea website. It appears that so far 32 users have been affected by a malicious program payload from an attacker and some of their NFT has been stolen," said Finzer.
