Realme's Ambition This Year: Sell 10 Million GT Series, Reach Top 4


 Realme entered the premium flagship phone market with the Realme GT 2 series. In a market dominated by Apple and Samsung, Realme has set ambitious targets.

Vice President of Realme & President of Realme International Business Group Madhav Sheth said Realme set a target to sell 10 million units of mobile phones in the GT series this year. Madhav revealed that so far Realme has sold five million units of mobile phones in the GT and X series.


"We have ambitions to sell around 8-10 million GT series units this year. So maybe it's around 15% of the total volume we are targeting," Madhav said in a direct interview with us ahead of the MWC 2022 event in Barcelona, ​​Spain, Tuesday (1/3). /2022).


Madhav said that the Realme GT 2 series could meet the needs of users who are looking for phones in the premium flagship segment. According to Madhav, consumers in this segment are looking for a reliable phone, has good service, regular updates, and high-end features.


"Can we provide all of the above? The answer is yes," said Madhav.



He then added that consumers who are curious about the flagship phone offered by Realme should try it directly at the counter and compare it with other flagship phones on the market.


With the GT 2 series, Madhav hopes that this phone can boost Realme's position in the global mobile market. Currently Realme is ranked fifth in several countries and the target is to maintain its position and if it can move up to rank four.



Despite having set big targets, Madhav said the most important thing for Realme right now is to build a bigger community in the countries where it operates.


"For the numbers, we want to be in the top five positions. We want to stay in fifth position, but at the same time we want to create a bigger community," he concluded.
