Elon Musk Reveals the Suffering of Martian Candidates

It's no secret that Elon Musk is obsessed with colonizing Mars, even building a city there. At the TED conference, Elon also talked about the fate of the first citizens of Planet Mars in the future.

As quoted by us from the New York Post, Elon Musk warned that the first colonists on Mars should not expect a luxurious or comfortable lifestyle.

"It's important to emphasize that Mars, especially in its early days, will not be luxurious. It will be dangerous, dense, difficult, hard work," said the captain of the SpaceX and Tesla companies.

"The sales promotion to go to Mars is this is dangerous, narrow, maybe you can't go back (to Earth). It's something difficult, it takes hard work. That's it, but it will be magnificent," he said again.

To go to Mars, SpaceX under the command of Musk has built a rocket called Starship. He is optimistic that in a few months the Starship will be able to test launch into orbit.

"The joke I always tell is, what can be guaranteed is joy. Success is not guaranteed, but joy certainly can," said Elon Musk.

Last year, the richest man in the world predicted that humanity could arrive on Mars within 10 years. But it does take longer to build a functioning colony.

He often talks that humans need to be an interplanetary species, not stuck to living on Earth. That's because the planet is potentially facing great danger.

"I think it's important to maximize the lifespan of human consciousness. Human civilization could end due to external reasons, like giant meteors, (eruptions) supervolcanoes or extreme climate change or World War III, or other reasons," said Elon Musk.
