Corsair is a brand of computer accessories and components that is well known to the public, especially those who are into the hobby of building computers. They have some desktop computer builds, but don’t have any offerings in the laptop industry.
All that changed when the company introduced their first laptop offering called the Corsair Voyager a1600 which is also an AMD Advantage laptop that comes with both CPU components as well as AMD-produced GPUs.
The laptop comes with a 16 -inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels with a refresh rate of 240Hz. In terms of components, the Corsair Voyager a1600 is powered by AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS and AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS CPU options, DDR5 memory up to 64GB and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage up to 2TB.
In terms of graphics offerings, this laptop is seen to come with a GPU option, namely the AMD Radeon RX 6800 which is seen to be able to run modern games at high resolution and frame rate without problems.
One of the uniqueness of this computer that can be seen is its very thin design at 19.8mm. Not only that, Corsair also leveraged the company’s ownership of Elgato streaming software by introducing a touch bar that comes with 10 buttons that can be customized using the Elgato software built into this laptop.
Corsair says that this laptop is not only suitable for those who want the best experience in running their computer games, but also for those who have or want to start entering the streaming arena such as on Twitch or Youtube.
For now, Corsair has yet to announce when they will start selling this laptop, as well as its price tag.
