At the WWDC event that took place a few days ago, Apple has introduced processing chips for their latest laptop, the Apple M2 and also the Macbook Air model that uses the processing chip.
Recently, Bloomberg reported that Apple will unveil several new laptop models by 2023, with the introduction of a MacBook Air with a 15 -inch display and also their smallest laptop with a 12 -inch display.
The MacBook Air with a 15-inch display is expected to be developed for those who want a thin and light laptop but still want a larger display than what the MacBook Air offers today, while the MacBook with a 12-inch display is for those who really want a compact laptop and are not so fond of using the iPad as their daily productivity device.
A MacBook with a 12 -inch display is nothing new. It was previously introduced under the MacBook Air model in 2015 and stopped production in 2019 possibly due to a less promising market.
The 12-inch MacBook is expected to be introduced in late 2023 or early 2024, but for now Apple has yet to confirm whether they will actually reintroduce the model.
