Samsung is already rumored to be developing a foldable phone, and now there is a report from South Korea, saying Samsung wants to develop a basic foldable phone at a value of under 1 million won (RM3.3k).
It is said that Samsung has now started developing a variation of the Galaxy Z Fold and also the Galaxy Z Flip with a basic offering, thus offering it at a low price.
Through this strategy, it looks like they will come with a family of "Galaxy A" foldable phone version. This move will also allow more people to use foldable screen technology, while further increasing Samsung's market share in the arena of foldable devices.
For now, Samsung is expected to introduce it as early as 2024, which is about two years away. Perhaps in that time, we will see healthy developments in the foldable phone arena as well as bring its cost lower than it is today.
