Since cameras began to be placed on smartphones, sales of analog and digital cameras have plummeted badly resulting in some large companies suffering losses or in more serious cases continuing to roll no. Now president of Sony Semiconductor Solutions (SSS), Terushi Shimizu was quoted as saying he believes pictures taken from smartphones will surpass those taken by SLR cameras as early as 2024.
