Project Titan which is Apple's effort to develop their first electric car is facing various issues with resignations, reduction of workforce and lack of trust from within the company. The collaboration with Hyundai was canceled and now the Korean company has produced several electric vehicles of its own that have received industry acclaim.
According to a Bloomberg report, Project Titan is now headed by Luigi Taraborrelli who is a former executive at Lamborghini. While at Lamborghini, he was involved with the development of the Urus, Huracan and Aventador. During his 20 years at Lamborghini, Taraborrelli worked in the research and development department.
His experience was needed by Apple because they had no experience building cars. In addition to Apple, Xiaomi and Huawei also focus on the development of electric cars because it is seen as a logical evolution of a technology company.a
