iOS 16 Beta Available for Public User Download

 


Last month, Apple launched their new generation smartphone operating system, iOS 16. This time Apple offers a user -customizable screen lock, Safety Check to help victims of domestic violence, safer and user -friendly photos, in addition to health features and many more.



For a month now, developers have been able to test up to three beta phases of iOS 16. Apple is now ready to give general users the opportunity to try iOS 16 in advance before the beta version launches in a few months.



While this beta version is already public, not all devices are eligible. iOS 16 cannot be used on iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE (Gen-1), iPhone 7 and even iPhone 7 Plus. Then, even though the iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X support iOS 16 - not all features are usable. Many of the new features and functions require at least an Apple A12 Bionic chip.




To try iOS 16, you just need to open the Apple Beta Software Program page via Safari iOS or iPadOS. Press Sign up if this is your first time trying the beta, or log in by pressing Sign in if you have already signed up. Download the beta profile and go to iOS settings to install the profile. Reboot the device and start updating iOS 16 Public Beta 1 for iPhone or iPadOS 16 Public Beta 1 for your iPad.


Apple also distributes public beta for macOS Ventura, tvOS 16, watchOS 9 and also HomePod Software 16.
