CIMB today introduced their new generation banking application, CIMB Octo. Interestingly, along with the introduction of the application, CIMB also briefly shared about Apple Pay.
Apple has introduced Apple Pay in Malaysia recently, but CIMB is not in the initial introduction. Only Maybank, Ambank and Standard Chartered are supported through Apple Pay so far.
Touching on it, CIMB said they are targeting the introduction of Apple Pay support around the second half of 2023. The process towards such support is underway, and CIMB will share more about it when it becomes available. For now, CIMB says they want to focus more on this new OCTO application.
