Lightweight DJI Mini 3 With 48MP Camera Launched

Late yesterday the DJI Mini 3 was officially launched as a compact drone that is still able to offer interesting features previously only found on more flagship models. The Mini 3 is equipped with a 48MP camera with a 1/1.3 CMOS sensor and an f/1.7 lens that can record photos at 12MP and video up to 4K30p.

The Mini 3 camera uses a quad-binning technique to produce smaller but sharper images. The gimbal used not only stabilizes the video to be recorded but can rotate 90 degrees to allow vertical video to be taken. Stories and TikTok content can be taken more easily through this mode.

The included battery offers up to 38 minutes of flight time according to DJI. Through an additional battery pack accessory sold separately, the Mini 3's flight time can be increased up to 51 minutes. It is small in size and weighs only 259 grams – lighter than a Galaxy Z Fold4. However, it can fly stable even in windy conditions at a speed of 39 km/h.

The DJI Mini 3 starts at $469 (~RM2065) for the drone alone and goes up to $858 (~RM3778) for the Fly More Combo which also offers a remote control, bag, charger, and two extra batteries
