The Artificial Intelligence Alliance (AI Alliance) was established today with over 50 members. It was established to ensure the safe, open, and responsible development of AI by its members. Among the technology companies that are members of the AI Alliance are IBM, AMD, Intel, Meta and Dell.
Also becoming members are leading educational institutions and agencies such as Cornell University, Dartmouth, Imperial College London, Harvard University, The University of Tokyo, Yale University and NASA.
Among the AI Alliance's plans is to develop benchmarks and evaluation standards and multiple resources to enable responsible AI development. It will also advance an open source ecosystem for models that support multilingual, multi-modal, as well as science models that help solve universal issues such as education and climate. Finally it will also try to provide support to develop AI on a global level.
