ASUS ROG Phone 8 and Phone 8 Pro were officially launched today. He said the device is now lighter and thinner which provides more comfort for all users. The difference between the devices is the Anime Vision Mini-LED secondary display support which is provided exclusively on the Pro variant. Meanwhile, ROG Phone 8 is simply equipped with a logo and Aura RGB Lighting.
Next, both devices use a 6.78-inch FHD+ SAMSUNG Flexible AMOLED LTPO screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports other additional features such as NTSC color gamut, 1600nits peak brightness and HDR10.
This is followed by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, memory up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS4.0 storage as the mainstay. The 5,500mAh battery also supports 65W fast charging, then a tri-camera system is used with a main 50MP (Sony IMX890) + 13MP ultra wide + 32MP with built-in OIS.
The selfie camera is 32MP, and the device is also IP68 waterproof. Other specifications include a 3.5mm audio jack, three built-in microphones with ASUS Noise Reduction technology and running ROG UI (based on Android 14).
ASUS also confirmed that the device will enter the Malaysian market on January 30, 2024 with a sale price that remains a secret for now.
