Samsung Galaxy XCover7 And Tab Active5 Launched With MIL-STD 810H Resistance

Samsung Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active 5 were officially launched yesterday. Both smartphones and tablets are not only IP68 waterproof but also pass the MIL-STD 810H shock resistance standard used by the military.

Samsung Galaxy XCover7 is equipped with a 6.6″ FHD+ TFT 60Hz screen, powered by the Dimensity 6100 Plus chip, 6GB RAM memory, 128GB storage and a 4050 mAh battery. This is matched to a 50MP camera system on the back and a 5MP selfie camera. It's a bit awkward to see a modern smartphone that uses a mono camera system only on the back.

But this device has a 3.5mm audio jack and a removable battery unlike other modern Samsung devices. Strangely it also does not support any fingerprint scanner and only face scan can be used.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 is equipped with an 8″ FHD+ TFT 120Hz screen, memory up to 8GB RAM, storage up to 256GB and a battery of 5050 mAh. This is matched to a 13MP camera system on the back and a 5MP selfie camera. It is not known what processor chip is used in this tablet.

Like the XCover7, this tablet has a 3.5mm audio jack and a removable battery and comes with an S Pen. It also has fingerprint scanner support on the side. With MIL-STD810H durability, Tab Active5 withstands drops from a height of 1.8 meters.

The selling price for these two quite durable devices has not yet been announced.
