Slow motion video recording support on smartphones is not a feature that everyone uses. Despite that device manufacturers still like to update this feature to ensure people use it. Recently, Samsung will update the slow motion recording support on the Galaxy S24 series.
This slow motion recording is one of the generative AI features that is Instant Slo-Mo. This feature uses artificial intelligence to generate additional video frames to make the video more realistic. Every video that uses this mode will only be saved in SDR format, but in the future Samsung will update for this mode to support HDR10+ format.
The Instant Slo-Mo feature is currently limited to Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra users. Sources say support for Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Galaxy Tab S9 series is coming soon.
