Apple is believed to launch the iPhone 17 Air next year with a thinner body than other models. According to a report by The Information, this device will be only 5-6 mm thick compared to the iPhone 16 which is 7.8mm thick. Therefore, it is believed that it will also be launched without a physical SIM tray and will rely entirely on eSIM.
Although thin, it is still not on the same level as the Honor Magic V3 which is 4.35 mm thin when opened. Because it is too thin, it is likely that the iPhone 17 Air will not be sold in China because the device there needs to come with physical SIM support.
