Microsoft will reportedly be investigated by the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for allegedly making it difficult for customers to stop using their Azure services through the various productivity software they also offer.
The process of transferring productivity software data to competing Azure services is made difficult by the licensing terms imposed by Microsoft. Among the alleged actions are increasing monthly fees, charging expensive termination charges and making Office 365 products incompatible with competing cloud services.
This is seen as Microsoft abusing their position to avoid competition.
