Netflix to Remove Two GTA Games Due to Expired Licenses

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is a bundle of the famous GTA video games. It includes GTA III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. It was first released in 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC – then Android and iOS versions arrived in 2023 via Netflix. The two games will be removed from Netflix soon.

Through the Netflix app, GTA III and GTA Vice City are now listed with the Leaving Soon label. These two games will be removed from Netflix starting December 13, 2024. Among the reasons for this removal is that the licenses have expired and Netflix seems to have no plans to continue it – as it may want to focus on original Netflix Games games such as Squid Game: Unleashed.

Although it has been removed from Netflix, individual versions are still offered by Rockstar Games on the Play Store. GTA III – Definitive and GTA Vice City – Definitive are both sold for RM64. If you don’t want to sacrifice RM64, enjoy these games for free with your Netflix subscription until December 12.
