Samsung, a leading South Korean technology company, is well-known for its various electrical and electronic products, as well as various computer components used by various walks of life.
The company is also known for its display panels, and recently, it is reported to be developing an OLED display that will come with a refresh rate as high as 500Hz. The details known about this display are that apart from using their own QD-OLED panel, it will also come with a 27-inch panel size and come with a 1440p (2560×1440) resolution.
The use of QD-OLED panels is seen to help display color processing that is not only more accurate, but also bright, and with existing technology, allows Samsung to offer refresh rates that would normally be utilized by high-performance gaming computers, or modern video game consoles such as the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X.
Samsung is expected to introduce this high-refresh rate QD-OLED screen display in the middle of next year, and it would not be surprising if it were offered under the Samsung Odyssey model series that is very popular with elite gamers.
In fact, it would not be surprising if we could see QD-OLED gaming screen displays with resolutions as high as 4K and still come with refresh rates as high as 120Hz or 240Hz next year.
