2025 is the year of AI again, where this time the manufacturer will prove that AI is no longer a gimmick but a useful feature. At CES 2025, Samsung has shown off new AI technology for smart televisions with their new One UI.
As everyone knows, Samsung smart televisions now use One UI based on Tizen OS 8.0. With this update, the Galaxy AI feature will be included. One of the new features introduced is Samsung Food which uses the Whisk database. When users play a video on the television, Samsung Food can identify the food being displayed or the cooking action being shown.
Then, the recipe can be generated for the user to cook themselves. Not only that, it can also connect with the Samsung Food app on iOS or Android. The data collected can then help users put cooking ingredients into the shopping cart to make purchases from the Samsung Food app.
On Samsung televisions, the Live Translate feature also continues with Galaxy AI technology recognizing audio and generating text transcripts for subtitle display. Another AI feature for disabled users is AI-based Voice Removal with Audio Subtitles, which mutes the audio on the TV and only displays subtitles.
