Apple today announced the Apple M3 Ultra chip, making it the most powerful chip in terms of CPU and GPU in the Mac. This chip comes with up to 32-cores, combining 24 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores.
In addition, it includes up to 80 graphics cores with it. Overall, the performance of this chip is seen to be many times more powerful than the previous M2 Ultra chip.
Apple also focuses on the Neural Engine core on this chip, which includes 32-core support, allowing for smoother machine learning and artificial intelligence operations using it.
The M3 Ultra chip also supports up to 512GB of memory to be paired with it. In addition, this chip also offers Thunderbolt 5 support, suitable for faster file and data transfers.
The use of this chip also allows up to 8 Pro Display XDR displays to be paired together. The first device to come with this chip is the Mac Studio which Apple also launched today.
