Intel recently introduced a new software update for laptops using Intel Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” processor chips, namely Intel graphics driver 32.0.101.6734 which is seen to help reduce power consumption by the Intel Arc 140V iGPU component.
In short, this update improves the performance of the graphics chip even when in the lowest power consumption mode, 17W. According to Intel, they have tested this update on the MSI Claw 8 AI mobile gaming console powered by Intel Lunar Lake processor chips with 9 game titles such as Black Myth: Wukong, God of War: Ragnarok, Cyberpunk 2077, Dota 2, Counter-Strike and others.
The update shows an average frame rate increase of 10 percent in these games.
For now, this update appears to be available for download on the MSI Claw 8 AI console, and will arrive for all laptops powered by Intel Core Ultra 200V processors with Intel Arc 140V and Arc 130V graphics chips, depending on confirmation by the laptop manufacturer.
