Shopee has now said it will exempt all sellers with less than 100 sales per month from the 50-sen platform fee per sale. Sellers who receive this exemption will receive a notification via Seller Center at the beginning of the month, starting in August.
In addition, Shopee is also waiving this platform fee for those who are active for less than 120 days or have less than 100 sales – for new sellers.
Previously, Shopee had said it would implement a 50-sen platform fee per sale, which would impact the profit margins of sellers – especially those selling low-priced items. This fee has been implemented by Shopee effective today.
