Mozilla, through an update on their page, now states that they have agreed to extend support for Firefox ESR 115 for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 users until March 2026.
Mozilla also emphasized that they will re-evaluate this decision in February 2026, and announce at that time whether to continue support or end support.
With this offer, Mozilla becomes one of the major web browsers that continues to offer security updates for Firefox users on Windows 7, Windows 8 and even Windows 8.1. Support for it has been terminated by many since January 2023, and Mozilla is seen as one of the ones that continues support for users on the platform.
