Official: BUDI95 Adjusted to 200 Litres Per Month Effective 1 April 2026

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today announced the readjustment of the BUDI95 consumption limit from the previous 300 litres to 200 litres, effective 1 April 2026. It was also emphasized that the price of RON95 petrol will continue to be maintained at RM1.99 per litre under the BUDI95 subsidy.

According to the Prime Minister, on average, Malaysians use an average of 100 litres per month, and more than 90% use less than 200 litres per month. Therefore, this change is not expected to have an impact on many local consumers.

At the same time, ride-hailing drivers will continue to enjoy the ceiling limit of 800 litres per month as before.
