X Pro, previously known as Tweetdeck, now requires at least an X Premium+ subscription (RM 146.33 per month) to use. The change in terms of using X Pro was made suddenly this morning without customers receiving an announcement from X.
Previously, X Pro could be used by regular X Premium customers for a subscription fee of RM35 per month. On X, hardcore X Pro users expressed their disappointment with X because there were no notifications at all. This may be another tactic by X to increase revenue by forcing more expensive subscriptions for features that were previously standard.
Before Twitter was taken over by Elon Musk, Tweedeck was free to use for everyone. A Twitter Blue subscription (before it was changed to X Premium) was required to use Tweetdeck since August 2023. At the same time, Threads offered a Tweetdeck-like interface to all users for free without any fees since 2024.
