The world is facing a crisis of RAM and memory components that have made affordable devices increasingly expensive. For those who can't afford a new personal computer or don't want to add to the pile of electronic waste, Google has launched the ChromeOS Flex USB Kit.
This kit simplifies the process of converting an old PC into a ChromeOS computer. It is Google's effort to save Windows 10 PCs that are no longer supported and cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 from being thrown away.
ChromeOS is still free to download, but the kit makes this process easier for those who don't have an internet connection or don't have the time to download it themselves. The kit was developed in partnership with Back Market and is sold for $3 (~RM 12) in select markets.
