Learning a new language can be very difficult, especially if it has a different pronunciation style than your own native language. In conjunction with Google Translate's 20th anniversary, the app is receiving a more accurate pronunciation tips feature.
When you use Translate, you can practice your pronunciation in the app. Translate will listen before providing tips and suggestions for more accurate pronunciation. All of this is done by Translate using artificial intelligence (AI).
The feature, called "pronunciation practice," is being given to residents of the United States and India for English, Spanish, and Hindi only at first.
Google also revealed today that Translate is used more than 1 billion times each month and performs 1 trillion language translations each month. This is the equivalent of reading 24/7 for 12,000 years.
