TuneTalk, one of the local telecommunications companies, has made changes to its offerings, and opened its application to everyone since May 2025. Through the changes to the application, TuneTalk added an entertainment and content hub directly to their application.
The two content categories that are being focused on are short dramas and casual video games. Since their introduction, both have attracted high user numbers, and are not limited to TuneTalk customers only. Sharing this today, TuneTalk stated that they now have over 1 million users using the content hub. For your information, this figure is different from the number of their telecommunications service customers which is currently 1.8 million customers.
At the same time, users are seen spending between 36 minutes to 38 minutes a day using the content hub – thus making it an application that is actively used every day in daily life.
TuneTalk generates revenue from collaborations with content providers, through additional subscriptions to access content, in addition to advertising displays. Touching on this as well, the CEO of TuneTalk stated that they are targeting revenue from this application and content business to be around 10% moving forward, with the goal of continuing to increase it year on year.
