Ask.com is a search engine or also called an answer engine that was founded in 1996. It was initially known as AskJeeves, before being rebranded to Ask.com. Although it started early, the service is seen facing challenges from various other providers, especially Google, which makes people use it less and less day by day. This service can also be said to be quite less popular in Malaysia compared to other search services.
Most recently, the Ask.com site now displays a message that it has officially ended operations on May 1, 2026. For your information, the Ask.com service was taken over by IAC in 2005, focusing on questions and answers, but it continues to face high challenges, not to mention in the current era of artificial intelligence.
With a unique domain name, it is not impossible for us to see the owner selling the domain to any company focusing on artificial intelligence at a very high price, such as the AI.com domain recently.
