Panasonic LUMIX L10 Launched With Leica Fixed Lens

Panasonic has introduced its new compact camera, the LUMIX L10 (DC‑L10). It is advertised as a powerful compact camera with a balance between size and performance.

The camera comes with a 20.4 MP Four Thirds sensor along with a Leica DC Vario-Summilux 24–75mm F1.7–2.8 fixed lens. It is paired with a Phase Hybrid AF system that offers 779 focus points and AI-based subject recognition. The standard zoom lens is also suitable for everyday shooting and also supports macro shooting up to 3 cm from the subject.

In terms of video, the camera offers 5.6K 60p and DCI 4K 120p recording in 4:2:0 10-bit format, or DCI 4K 60p in 4:2:2 10-bit format. The multi-aspect sensor then enables ‘Open Gate’ recording in various aspect ratios for social media use, and is even supported by an MP4 Lite recording mode. The camera also includes V-Log for better color control.

In addition, Panasonic has introduced REAL TIME LUT with a dedicated button on the camera body that allows users to add color styles directly. The L10 also adds two film-inspired picture styles, L.Classic and L.ClassicGold. The LUMIX Lab app allows users to generate LUTs through AI analysis of original reference images.

The camera body weighs 508 grams including battery, SD card and camera base cap. The exterior finish uses a fine leather texture on the magnesium front frame with metal construction. It also offers a 2.36 million dot OLED viewfinder display and a 1.84 million dot LCD screen that can be rotated for various shooting angles.

The Panasonic LUMIX L10 will go on sale in June with a starting price of $1499 (~RM5,888). The Titanium Gold special edition is offered at $1599 (~RM6,280) in limited quantities.
