SpaceX's IPO is expected to be the largest in history, giving the company a market value of around $1.75 trillion. SpaceX may have started out as an aerospace company, but it's now an artificial intelligence and social media company after acquiring xAI and X.
Last weekend, Google announced a deal with SpaceX to access the company's computing capacity for $920 million (~RM 3.7 billion) a month. Google will use the data center, which is equipped with more than 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs and CPUs, from October 2026 to June 2029. This is SpaceX's second-largest data center contract after Anthropic agreed to pay $1.25 billion a month until 2029 to rent the processing capacity of its Colossus 1 supercomputer.
Google said it needed the xAI computing capacity after high demand for its recently announced artificial intelligence (AI) services. The deal with SpaceX is for a short period of time, just to meet the needs of its Gemini Enterprise customers and Google's AI agents.
