Google has introduced Search Profiles, a new way for content creators to display their profiles in the Search space.
Search Profiles are special, shareable spaces to display the latest articles, videos and social media updates.
Through them, users can see information such as social media accounts, links and content produced by creators on a dedicated page. Users can also follow sources directly from the profile via the Follow button, thus making it easier for content to appear in Google Discover.
Google explained that this feature helps people get more up-to-date information about the sources they follow, while the process of claiming a profile has the potential to create a Knowledge Panel for eligible creators.
For now, Search Profiles is launching in the United States first. Later, it will be expanded to more countries and added with new functions.
