With various AI-based content, including profile picture generation and so on, Facebook is now coming up with a new offering called Facebook Verified. Through it, Facebook verifies that an account belongs to a human and not an AI or bot.
Facebook Verified is done using selfie-based verification. Users will be asked to verify using a selfie video, which will then be matched and checked based on your Facebook profile picture. Facebook says this process is free, and can be done in just a few minutes.
All users aged 18 and above can do this Facebook Verified. Currently, this feature is being tested in several markets, before being expanded to all countries around the world.
