Wise is now integrating DuitNow QR into its apps and services through a partnership with PayNet. This move is expected to improve the user experience by providing a more convenient payment method at various stores and merchants.
Whether tourists visiting Malaysia or locals making purchases, they can use the Wise app to scan and pay at participating merchants without having to rely on e-wallet apps or other banking services.
In addition, Wise is also introducing a simpler domestic transfer facility through DuitNow Transfer.
With this function, users no longer need to deal with complicated bank account details as they can send money using only the recipient’s phone number or identity card number.
The recipient’s name will be automatically displayed for verification before the transaction is confirmed, ensuring that the funds reach the right recipient and reducing the risk of transaction errors.
