Amazon has now reportedly completed a $50 billion investment in OpenAI, acquiring a 5% stake in the popular artificial intelligence company with respect to its ChatGPT product.
With this move, Amazon now has stakes in OpenAI and Anthropic. OpenAI now has over 1 billion active users, while Anthropic is widely used by programmers and enterprises.
The investment in OpenAI not only gives it a stake in the popular company, but also ensures a long-term partnership for cloud computing and AI-focused chips.
In addition to these two companies, Amazon itself has its own artificial intelligence development team, and also offers its own products under Alexa.
